Musiker müssen musizieren, Künstler malen, Dichter schreiben, um mit sich selbst im Reinen zu sein. Was Menschen sein können, müssen sie sein. Sie müssen ihrer eigenen Natur treu bleiben. Dieses Bedürfnis können wir Selbstverwirklichung nennen … Es bezieht sich auf den Wunsch des Menschen nach Selbstverwirklichung, nämlich auf die Tendenz, tatsächlich das zu werden, was er potentiell ist.“
